Funky French Flowers | Using ONLY dotting tool

Funky French Flowers | Using ONLY dotting tool

This is probably my most favorite nail design, simply because I love the color combo and the way it turned out. It was a last moment idea, but still it came out perfect in my book. ย It is a simple DIY using your dotting tool ONLY.

As with all my tutorials, you can use any colors that you like . It is totally your preference. This is one of those few videos that I repeatedly watch simply because it amazes me every single time. I hope you enjoy watching this video, just as much as I enjoyed making it.

If you haven’t subscribed to my channel already, please do. Links are on my blog. I upload loads of nail art tutorials. If you have subscribed already, then A HUGE THANK YOU! :*

Dress Inspired nails!

This was the dress that inspired me to do nail art. I was running out of ideas, that I liked! So I went through my pintrest board and found this cute dress which inspired me! ๐Ÿ™‚Screenshot_2014-03-02-16-38-22

As usual, I applied my base coat. I applied blue on all my nails except my ring finger, which I painted white. I used it as an accent to represent the belt, AND I really liked the blue-red-white color combo too ๐Ÿ˜›

For the small polka dots, I used tooth pick dipped in white polish. For the accent nail, I used a paint brush to draw the bow and filled it in with the brush ^_^

Here are the images taken under different lights ๐Ÿ™‚

As always, I love your comments!! :*

It’s spring here!! Flowers everywhere, warm climate, feels wonderful ^_^

Naturally, spring SCREAMS pastel shades and flowers ๐Ÿ˜‰ Here’s my NOTD ๐Ÿ™‚

I used a toothpick to draw those tiny flowers ๐Ÿ™‚ To make the flower complete, I used a yellow dot in between. For the accent nail, I used the three pastel shades to draw stripes. I didn’t expect them to turn out so neat ๐Ÿ˜€

I clicked loads of pictures in different lights.

ย sunlight

I am extremely happy with this ๐Ÿ™‚ I got amazing response from my friends saying that this was one of the best things that I have done. It made me feel so happy :* One of them even asked if it was sticker and another, asked me if it was stamping ๐Ÿ˜€

That made me even more proud of my design!

Fish-y Sauce

Yup I know it is the most weirdest name ๐Ÿ˜€

I used two colors for each finger, the lightest one as the base and the darker one for the ‘fish’

It’s spring here and I decided to do something fun, bright and colorful. This idea, was inspired by Lisa, from ‘thepolishplayground‘ ๐Ÿ™‚

She did it by the stamping method. I drew them on my mom’s nails ๐Ÿ™‚ Although they are far from being perfect, I love the way they turned out. My mom, who has no patience, smudged her little finger ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Over all, I personally would give this mani a 3/5 ๐Ÿ˜€

I would love to know your thoughts on it ๐Ÿ™‚

Strung hearts

Strung Hearts โค

Well, you might think that yellow isn’t a traditional Valentine’s Day Color. This isn’t something to be worn on Valentine’s Day alone, it can be worn all through out ๐Ÿ˜€

The two main colors that I used are Street Wear’s ‘Vivian yellow’ and ‘Vodka & Caviar’ by VOV.

Two base coats of the solid yellow.

Apply White color block. It is better if it is random. (Oops! clean up time later! ๐Ÿ˜€ )

Border the white with black color.

Add Vertical lines across them as shown above.

Then finally, use the red to draw tiny hearts and your done!

Finish off with a top coat. A Matt top coat can be added for better effect.

I would love to know your comments.

Lace-y Hearts

Lace-y Hearts

I was thinking of many color combinations, this came into my head last night when I went to bed. It ALWAYS happens so. I’m not sure why ๐Ÿ˜€

I used a base coat, a top coat ( Forgot to take the pic ๐Ÿ˜€ ), Lilacย ( which I reviewed), ‘Vodka & Caviar‘ by VOV and ‘Moonlight‘ by VOV for a little sparkle โค

After applying a base coat, I applied two coats of the Lilac to get the opacity.

ย ???????????????????????????????

On the ring finger and the thumb, I used tape to get the heart right., kind of like an accent nail. Although they did not come out perfectly, I retraced them and adjusted them a little bit with a striper brush ๐Ÿ˜€

I also added the little holographic hearts and glitter from Moonlight to , just kinda lift it up.

On my index finger, middle finger, and my pinky I decided to do a lace. You can use a striper to draw thick lines and fill it. I used tape instead because I wanted them to be perfect.

Then I dotted Vodka & Caviar using a toothpick. It was looking a bit dull with only red color. I wanted to use some light color to lift it up and give it vibrancy.

I looked through my stash. My first idea was the neon pink, but I figured that it would be too much. Baby pink would not show up well. Yellow, It would look too off-putting. So I decided to go with white, BEST CHOICE.

I dotted white in between the red. It did show up well, as good as I wanted it ๐Ÿ™‚

I applied a top coat, to seal in the design.

Voila, AND done! ๐Ÿ™‚

Would love to know your feedback!

Semi successful water-marble or a complete miss?

I don’t have a title for this ๐Ÿ˜€

I had many designs in my head ( As always ๐Ÿ˜€ ). I was indecisive as to what design I wanted on my nails. When I was going through my stash, I saw ‘Charged up you- shade No.125’, I realized I ย hadn’t used it ๐Ÿ˜ฆ It is such a beautiful bronze color I just wanted to use it!

The colors I used are ‘Starry night’ which I also used in my previous ‘Galaxy nailz 2.0‘ and ‘Galaxy Nails‘ and ‘Charged Up You’ by VOV.

I Used ‘Charged me Up’ as my base coat. I tried doing it with a white base coat but the design didn’t show up that well on my nails.

The problem with metallic colors, particularly this one, is that I was unable to capture it properly, before and after marbling ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Without light , the colors and the design show up dull, with the light they start shining! I was unable to get a balance after several attempts ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

No matter how many times I try water marble, although I love the technique, I don’t seem to get the hang of it ๐Ÿ˜ฆ I have no clue as to what mistake is it that I do. I don’t know if the colors I choose are right or something, I’m not sure ๐Ÿ˜ฆ If you can see in the above picture, it looks like a simple manicure without any design. What’s the point of marbling? ย But I can’t seem to let go of this technique ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Will I try water marble again? Maybe, in a distant future.
